Triangulated lattice polytopes  04 - 25 March 2014

Organiser

Victor Batyrev, Universität Tübingen

The lectures are devoted a combinatorial interpretation of the Mirror Symmetry as a twofold point view on triangulated lattice polytopes. The first approach is inspired by the tropical geometry. It is closely connected to famous results of Viro and to the theory of generalized A-hypergeometric functions due to Gelfand, Kapranov and Zelevinskij. The second one motivates the categorical birational geometry and the motivic integration.
